专利摘要:
A protective cover (4) to be used with disposable injection needles (1), such as those used for injection of insulin, which injection needles comprise a base (3) and a needle (2) fastened in the base, said protective cover comprising a hood (9) pivotably fastened on the base, said hood (9) being arranged to be pivotable, with the one and the same hand that holds a syringe on which the injection needle is arranged, between an inactive position at the side of the needle (2) of the injection needle and an active position in front of the needle (2) seen in the longitudinal direction of the needle. 公开号:SE1250737A1 申请号:SE1250737 申请日:2012-06-29 公开日:2013-12-30 发明作者:Margaretha Mathiasson 申请人:Margaretha Mathiasson; IPC主号:
专利说明:
Thus, by designing the needle cover according to the invention, it is achieved that after a syringe use the tip of the needle is covered by folding up a hood, which is thereby automatically locked in a raised position, and according to a preferred embodiment the needle is deformed by its swing. The essential thing about the invention is thus that the needle tip is covered so that it cannot give rise to puncture damage. An advantage of the design according to the invention is that the yoke can be folded up with one and the same hand holding the syringe, and no part of the hand needs to pass the area of the needle tip in its uncovered condition. Brief Description of the Drawings The invention will be described in detail in the following detailed description with reference to an embodiment of the invention shown in the accompanying drawings, in which Fig. 1 schematically shows a needle with needle guard according to the invention made in one piece with a needle base with needle, in inactive position, Fig. 2 shows a view of the device according to Fig. 1a perspective obliquely from below, also in inactive position, and Fig. 3 schematically shows the base with activated needle guard. Detailed Description of the Invention The present invention thus relates to a device which protects against puncture damage in connection with disposable needles. The needles may form part of a disposable syringe or alternatively be separate and designed for attachment to the end of a syringe, such as by a threaded connection, or by mold or friction locking, e.g. using grooves. Today, needles are delivered with a sleeve-shaped needle cover mounted on the needle. This needle guard is often then put back on the needle after use, and it is i.a. then puncture damage may occur. This sleeve-shaped needle guard can easily continue to be used also with needles with needle guards according to the present invention, until its syringe is to be given. Fig. 1 shows very schematically a cannula with a needle guard according to the invention. The cannula is denoted by 1, and comprises a needle 2 and a base 3. A needle guard 4 is according to the invention pivotally connected to the base 3. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the base is made by injection molding a suitable plastic material in one piece with the needle guard 4. The needle guard has the shape of a stirrup with two arms 5, 6, which are hingedly attached to the base, and according to the preferred embodiment via hinges 7 , 8 of plastic formed in one piece with the remaining parts of the device. The arms 5, 6 of the yoke merge at the ends of the opposite hinges into a hood 9. The hood 9 can, as shown in the figures, be curved and have curved side edges in order to be able to fold up over the base and the needle sitting therein at a height above the base which is lower than the protrusion of the needle above the base. The hood can then have a guide groove or notch 10 at a front edge to catch the needle when folding up. Fig. 2 schematically shows the needle cover seen obliquely from below to illustrate the suspension of the needle cover in the base 2 of the cannula. The two arms 5, 6 are hingedly connected to the base on diametrically opposite sides thereof. For manufacturing technical and thus also economic reasons, the base is preferably manufactured in one piece with the needle guard of a suitable plastic material. However, this is not decisive for the function of the invention, but the pivotability can be achieved in another way if deemed desirable. For example. the arms may be provided with pins which can be snapped into corresponding openings in the base, or in another suitable manner. On the base are arranged lugs 11, which have a first ramp-shaped sloping side 12, which forms a ridge side for the respective arms of the needle guard, and a second side 13, which runs perpendicular to the base. Thus, a heel is formed on which the arms can slide when folding up the needle guard, and in the folded-up position the arms snap in automatically behind the heels, and cannot be easily released from this position, as illustrated in Fig. 3. It is of course possible to remove the hood from the base after all. In order to prevent the reuse of a cannula as much as possible, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the length of the arms 5, 6 is so adapted that the needle 2 is bent / bent as indicated by dashed lines in Fig. 3, to such an extent that it thereby becomes unusable. In the embodiment shown in the drawings, the pin guard 4 has a rear side 14 which runs substantially parallel to the pivot arms 5, 6, but only partially covers the space between the arms so as not to prevent the pin guard from swinging over the base. The rear further has projections 15 which improve the grip when maneuvering. With this design, the needle guard can be handled risk-free with one and the same hand pouring into the syringe, and when folding up, the hand never has to be on the "wrong" side of the needle tip, and safe handling can be guaranteed. It is of course possible to vary the detailed construction of the needle cover within the scope of the following claims. Thus, instead of the locking lugs, the hood on the inside can be provided with a snap ring bracket which snaps firmly around the base surrounding the syringe. It is further possible to provide the hood with a heel on the inside, designed so that when the hood hits the needle and bends it during the swing, the tip of the needle ends up behind this heel, and thus further complicates reuse of the needle.
